"I have lived in Mistley for nearly 46 years, having played football for Mistley United F.C. and cricket for Mistley Cricket Club, and am now a social member of the Rugby Club. My working life has been spent in coal fired and Nuclear power stations, generating electricity for the National Grid. When the Covid restrictions were lifted in early 2022, I joined the team of the Manningtree Community Bus as a Driver, which brings me into contact with the residents of Lawford and Manningtree and increases my contact with the friendly faces in Mistley. With the Parish Council, I would try to maintain Mistley as the very pleasant place for us to live now, and for generations in the future."
