Councillor Mark Dymond

I have lived in Mistley since 2024 and I value the strong community spirit of the village. Having grown up on a farm near West Colchester, I understand the importance of rural communities and preserving local character.
My background includes local government roles in tourism, economic development and visitor services, followed by over 25 years in construction and infrastructure project management. This has given me practical experience in planning, communication, negotiation and working with a range of stakeholders.
As a Parish Councillor, I want to assist and support decisions that help Mistley grow sensitively while protecting what makes it special. I am particularly keen to focus on community facilities, well-planned development, transport and connectivity, green spaces, the local environment whilst maintaining open communication.
